Have you ever heard the saying, “What you focus on grows”? It sounds so simple, but keeping a focused, consistent schedule for your direct sales biz can be a challenge. Most women I know have at least three or four balls in the air at all times: work, children, home, direct sales business and oh yeah, let’s not forget about Facebook notifications. Somewhere between the first cup of coffee and a zillion notifications blowing up on your smartphone, your action plan can quickly go down the toilet.
Before you know it, it’s 8pm and you’re falling into bed feeling like you worked your butt off but got absolutely nothing accomplished. Ok, maybe you threw in a load of laundry. But laundry does not make you money. Good news! I created a simple “days of the week” system to help you stay focused and work your biz with intention. By week four you’ll be killin’ it!
Me Monday: A clear focus starts with a strong personal business. Lead the way and spend the first day of the week working on your personal calendar. That includes booking parties, scheduling Facebook Party posts and hostess coaching for parties coming up this week. When your calendar is full, you’ll feel more confident and ready to tackle the rest of your goals. Go you!
Team Tuesday: Follow up with sponsoring leads and set coaching calls with new consultants, future leaders and anyone on your team who wants more support. Being an effective coach is not about “knowing it all” or being a cheerleader. All you need to do is ask the right questions, be a good listener and stay in the reality zone.
Win Wednesday: It’s team challenge day! Plan out a monthly training calendar with a weekly topic that will support your team to succeed. End the training with a fun challenge to get the momentum going. You don’t have to go it alone. Develop leaders and future leaders by delegating training topics to your team and let them shine. Facebook Live is a fun and simple way to broadcast training, challenges and recognition on your group page.
Thank You Thursday: Keep your hostesses and customers coming back by saying THANKS! Use Bitmoji graphics on Facebook Parties, Facebook Live shout outs to your $500 Club Hostesses ($500+ Parties) and handwritten personal notes to all. Don’t forget to include a reminder to send referrals your way for a bonus gift!
Follow-Up Friday: Congrats! You’ve had a focused, productive week. Feels great, right? Take some time on Friday to follow-up with anything left on your to-do list, including party follow-up, accountability calls and prizes for your challenge earners.
I know what you’re thinking. I forgot Facebook. The easiest way to deal with distractions is to turn them off. After your focused biz-building activities are done, set a time to hop on Facebook and respond to messages, texts and email. And most of all, use a scheduling tool like CinchShare to plan out all your social media posts. Now go and conquer.
