How to Use Facebook Live to Explode Your Fall Season

Five months after Facebook rolled out Facebook Live for all users I jumped in and launched my first weekly live show for my Direct Sales biz, called Candles, Clearance & Closeouts. Catchy, right? I went live for 10 minutes featuring one item that was on sale, and thought it would take weeks to build an audience and get results. But I was wrong. My first broadcast generated online sales of $300+. I was hooked. You might have even discovered me because you saw my weekly Facebook Live show, Social Girl LIVE.

The bottom line is this: live video gets more results than any other type of post. Stop thinking about going live. Embrace your fears, grab your smartphone and press that live button to launch your Fall season. You can do this!

These 5 Facebook Live ideas can help you explode your direct sales biz this Fall:

Fall Product Reveal: Go live on your business page to share a new product reveal. Pages are searchable (as in Google search) and shareable, so you’ll want to include a call-to-action to share your reveal video with Facebook friends. But remember, less is always more. Instead of showing your entire Fall product line, keep your content focused on one to three products that will encourage new bookings. I call these higher priced products my ‘big bookers’. Ask viewers to vote for their fave (which helps you figure out what to show at your parties) for a special prize drawing, and then follow up via messenger with a limited time bonus offer (discounted shipping, $5 off, etc..) to seal the deal. And don’t forget to include your best offer: book a party and earn your gorgeous new products for free or at 50% off! Side note: In case you didn’t know, one of the cool Facebook Page features is the ability to reply to comments privately with a message. Just click on ‘Message’ (next to ‘Reply’).

Top Fall Trends Event: Your VIP Customer group should get special content with added value. Do some research to discover what the new trends are for the upcoming season, then go live to share the ‘Top Fall Trends’. Strategy is important here: pick trends that relate to your products and you’ll create a desire for group members to purchase or book – because who doesn’t want to be on-trend? Add a call-to-action to comment “mystery host” for anyone who wants to be invited to an upcoming Mystery Hostess party event, which you can create after your Facebook Live video is over. Plan your Mystery Hostess party one week away to give everyone a chance to watch your video on the replay. Now imagine how much better your party results will be when you have a list of guests who’ve already RSVP’d Yes before you’ve even created the event!

Team Training: Don’t wait until September to start training your team on new Fall promotions and incentives! Now is the time to plan a Facebook Live event in your team Facebook Group and impact both your August and September business. If you attended your Direct Sales Conference this summer, delegate topics to conference attendees and have them share their top tips. Include biz building basics like booking parties, hostess coaching, lead generation and effective show outlines or party scripts. Create momentum and end your virtual training event with a team booking blitz challenge.

VIP Customer Event: Hold an in-person (that means with real people) VIP Customer event in your home and go Live on Facebook on the event page to share the experience with long distance Customers & Hostesses. There’s nothing like the energy of an in-person event to get everyone excited about your products. Interview guests and let them do all the selling and booking for you!

Opportunity Events: Launch your Fall season with a record breaking virtual opportunity event. Avoid scrolling overwhelm and refresh confusion and do your entire event in one post – via Facebook Live. Share the 4 P’s – Products, Programs, Profits & People – and speak directly with potential sponsors who tune in to watch. And do you want to know the magic open-ended question that helps you get more Yes’s?

What interests you most about (fill in the blank with your company)?

Instead of doing all the talking, let guests tell you why they want to get started. Then listen in and customize your opportunity event by speaking about exactly what potential sponsors are interested in. Convert an “interest” to a “yes” by ending with a call-to-action that includes a limiter. CTA Example: Ready to get started? Comment “I’m in” to be in a special prize drawing tonight! I’ll be back to pick the winner!
