Did you know that Reels are not just on Instagram? Reels are on Facebook too, including Pages, Profiles and Groups. That means more scroll-stopping content for virtual parties and lead funnels!
These 10 Reels Tips and Tricks Will Help You Captivate, Connect, and Convert:
1. Forget about Going Viral
Instagram views are important, but connecting with your ideal customer and converting should be your end goal. That means we need to see more of you and less product.
2. Include a Caption
The algorithm is getting smarter, which means you’ll want to take the time to write a thoughtful caption that includes keywords. Captions help Instagram figure out who to show your Reels to. Think of your caption as a micro blog post. Here’s an example:
3. Start with the End in Mind
What action do you want people to take? Example: Follow, SAVE, Share, DM to get something of value, Join or Enroll, Shop via the link in your bio? Always include a CTA.
4. Include a Transition
Reels with transitions can easily communicate a before-and-after transformation, which helps you convert fast. The secret is to trim the video and use the align tool.
5. Use Photos and Videos in Your Camera Roll
Upload photos or videos from your phone and Instagram will recommend an audio and sync it for you. Easy peasy.
6. Resize Horizontal Photos and Videos to Vertical
Speaking of using photos in your camera roll, did you know there’s a “scale” tool to instantly resize horizontal (landscape) photos and videos to the Reels vertical (portrait) format? Yep. Watch the video tutorial at the top of this blog to see how.
7. Add a Voiceover
There are multiple audio options for every Reel and you can adjust the sound to include a voiceover. Tap the music note icon at the top of the Reel to lower the audio and add a voiceover.
8. Pinch and Zoom on Green Screen
When you use the Green Screen effect, you’ll notice your “talking head” is covering the background. Pinch and zoom the screen to make your talking head smaller and move it anywhere.
9. Add a GIF to Grab Attention
Tap the sticker icon to add GIFS to make a hook stand out or include a CTA at the end. Example: “Read the Caption.” Best part? You can adjust the placement of GIFS so they appear exactly where you want them. Watch the video at the top of this blog to see how.
